I started the morning . . .
by noticing a post from a fellow TAFA member entitled "Wordless Wednesday" . . . it was a serene and beautiful photo, and I thought it was such a nice idea I toyed with it BRIEFLY.
But then I decided I'd be much more likely to have a Wordful Wednesday -- because any day with me is likely to be chock-full of words . . .
Why would I take the best part of any day out
when I can turn it around and still serve alliteration?
Busy times at Small Works these days --
getting ready for the American Craft Council St. Paul Show
next week (booth #2402, and there will be chocolate!)
Of course, if I'd be less wordy and more worky I wouldn't be busy trying to finish the piece that was SUPPOSED to be finished for San Francisco . . . and then Baltimore . . . and now St. Paul. Today it seems like I could stitch on this little devil for 6 more years and not be ready for St. Paul 2017.
Yes, I really hate myself sometimes.
Sound harsh? Yes, I'm given to hyperbole.
We exaggerate misfortune and happiness alike.
We are never as bad off
or as happy as we say we are.
-- Honore de Balzac
But we are sometimes as lazy, undisciplined, unfocused, and predictably behind as we say we are. Anyone who has to finish a really heavily procrastinated, really big piece while simultaneously painting three frames and trying not to go outside on the sunniest, warmest day this side of October deserves their own harshest punishment exactly.
And maybe a Cadbury chocolate egg or two . . .
and a walk around the pond . . .
and a spanking.
And that's some 200+ words too many
for this Wordful (I mean Worky) Wednesday.
for this Wordful (I mean Worky) Wednesday.

Go for the Cadbury eggs. I would. You're bound to feel better.
You had me at chocolate. At least the St. Paul Show will not require a lot of $$$$'s and time for travel. I'm betting there is not an abundance of blue skies and warm weather to distract your good intentions.
How many episodes of Bonanza does it take to finish a masterpiece? Just wondering.
Congrats on being the first with the right answers on my photo quiz. Well done!
Woot! I didn't expect to get them ALL right . . . good for me!
if you write poetry,
Welcome join us,
Thanks for the time,

That post title cracked me UP. Love your wordy Wednesday, Susan! I can relate on all fronts!
