Fearless.

Hooray!

Another person has jumped on
the "Creativity Challenge 365" bandwagon!

Since I issued the challenge in March, only my sister and my niece have taken me up on the idea -- one painting every day, the other making cards. And so far the results have been splendid!  It was just wonderful when I saw my sister at our reunion in Missouri because she brought all the cards with her and I got to see each of them.  And the best part was that her hotel room looked like a traveling craft circus (her husband is very understanding)!

So I'm absolutely delighted to report that
now the ranks of our fearless band have swelled to four.

Chelsea has come up with a smashing entry in the form of a new blog, Haikerbole, which will combine her love of poetry (specifically Haiku) with her love of fancy writing and accompanying addiction to pens.  You can check out her progress here . . . it's day one!

Something has begun --
I can't wait to see it grow
Three lines at a time.

(just a little haiku in your honor on the occasion of your kickoff, Chels! Couldn't resist.)

I keep plugging along with my Happy Thought project and would like to thank everyone who is coming along for the ride.  I'm printing each day's entry and compiling them in a book, and I'm pleased to report that it's getting quite thick!  And I'm already beginning to muse about what I might do next year . . .

Since every day is the beginning
of a new year, any other joiners out there?

Come on in . . . the water's fine!

And it doesn't have to be anything REALLY big, of course --
just an itty bitty something that keeps you moving in the right direction along the creative path.

It's like exercise, of course,
to keep your art muscle fit as a fiddle.

Come on . . . you have nothing to fear but
having to pack art supplies with you
on your family vacation!  And that's not so bad, is it?

At the moment I'm contemplating what I can take with me of artsupplies without having to deal with the rolling eyes and sighs on our family vacation.

Slowly but surely I'm driving them mad.

When I get a little more settled, I am going to do this for sure. Still mulling over some ideas....hmmm...

Yippee! Can't wait to see what you're going to do (You don't need to start any challenges during moving month. You get an automatic pass.)

Hm....I don't think I could do this...most days are good if I find a coffee cup before it's bedtime again! Especially lately! Loving that you're going to put Happy Thoughts in book form. I just love the whole concept!

I have been doing creative things almost every day, but not the same thing (like, writing a haiku). Some days I sew, some days I make a card and some days I paint. I didn't want to start something only to stop for a while once the baby comes, because, let's be honest, it's just not going to happen once he comes.

I am hoping to jump on the bandwagon soon, though. And so for now, I guess I will just count my creating of said baby my creative thing every day.

Great idea, Amelia! You're definitely engaging in a creative act. But it also seems that you manage to get more projects accomplished than about anyone I can think of. So we'll give you extra credit. :)
